Job Description

Looking for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in beautiful Bend, Oregon:
Central Oregon Animal Hospital is a well-established animal practice that has served Bend, Oregon for more than two decades. We pride ourselves in providing exception customer service to our clients and premiere veterinarian care to our patients. Our technicians use their training to the max. New graduates are encouraged to apply. You will be joining a team of 3 licensed technicians, 5 DVMs, 4 vet assistants, and other team members.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accredited Veterinary Technician Program and passed the VTNE. Must have an Oregon state veterinary technician license or in the process of obtaining a license within 60-days of employment. Work Schedule is Monday – Saturday on a rotation basis. Wage range $23.00 to $28.00 DOE. Some of our benefits provided include PTO, healthcare benefits, paid CE, uniform allowance, discounted pet care.
Veterinary Technician duties and responsibilities:
A Veterinary Technician takes care of animals that come into the hospital and maintains the facility itself. A Veterinary Technician may have the following responsibilities:
  • Providing general nursing care
  • Examining animals and checking vitals in preparation for the Veterinarian
  • Taking X-rays of animals
  • Administering first aid for emergencies
  • Administering medication and treatments
  • Drawing blood samples for testing
  • Monitoring animals under anesthesia
